Sim getting pregnant without trying?

Can sims get pregnant without trying? I had a sim who I didn't play with for a couple of days and I came to her house and there was a baby!! I didn't even know she was pregnant and the father looks to be someone she didn't even know, when I invited him over, I had to do an introduction.....seems weird. I don't remembering doing it with him but I guess she must have once. I debated letting the kid cry until they got taken away because having a baby wasn't in my plan for her LOPL.

    I don’t use any mods and also had a household where they tried for a baby.  Didn’t get a pregnancy announcement, aging is only on for active household.  Played another household in same save file,  Came back and she’d been pregnant and given birth to a baby whose name had been randomised.

    A few other users have reported some issues with save files having multi households.  If you think that’s it then admin should move this to the rotational household bug thread.

    @BiffaBaker 

    This is not a bug but works as intended. A pregnancy will go its term regardless of if aging is off. so stay with the pregnant sims household until she gives birth.
