Sim leaving job/work when another sim travels

Ever since the big update before the expansion pack was released, every time one of my Sims enters a rabbit hole career and another Sim in the household travels or goes to an active career lot, it causes all Sims to leave work or school and return home. I was hoping the latest patch would fix it, but it hasn’t. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

    Have had the exact same problem for about 2 weeks now. Was going to buy the new expansion pack but I haven't purley because I was worried it will come with more bugs like this one. I can't earn money unless all sims stay home while 1 goes to work and 1 goes to school.
