Sim needs going down in Build Mode

Has anyone had their sims needs go down while on pause? I’ve noticed my sims needs drastically go down while in Build n Buy. I started a new Sim play, I always pause my game and then open Build mode, when I go back to Live mode my sims needs are drastically lower. Either they are suddenly hungry, need social or need to to pee. Has anyone else had this happen?
