Sims 3 camera controls not working.

(Playing sims 4) I use sims 3 camera for both building and gameplay. I came back to the game after a 2 month break, but now the rotation buttons doesn't work (i used the keyboard shortcut buttons for rotation ", and .") The buttons work just fine outside the game but also in-game when I'm rotating an item for example, yet not when i rotate the camera view. it works for everything BUT the camera view... ☹️

Maybe the short cut have been changed in the 2 months? but i've looked around and cant find anything that would say that, as fare as i know there isn't an in-game control guide.
