Thanks for replying, I was advised by the online chat to ask here when I wanted to know where I could get an answer from EA on the rating.
Yes she has the prerequisite cats and dogs pack, that’s the thing, she has lots of other packs, they were bought as gifts from Amazon, so came as physical codes, and if this pack was available that way I’d do that too, but I can’t find it on amazon. But that’s not really the point, the point is the classification of this pack (and presumably all the others for online purchase through Origin) are wrong.
Hoping someone from EA can advise.
The only way to get an expansion on an child account, is by entering the productcode on the account. It's not possible to make purchases or receive games via gift on child accounts.
This hasn't got anything to do with the ratings, but more about how child accounts work.

Hey there, @ThundershockGame.
For most countries, age 13 will be appropriate for an adult account, however, it can differ depending on your country's requirements.
For more information on what ages are required for adult accounts, check out our Online Access for Child Accounts article.
Once your child hits that milestone, according to the date of birth on the account, then the Origin client will automatically run through an age-up process and grant access to adult features. From there, you can set Teen restrictions.
I hope that helps! 🙂

Thanks @EA_Arrenai she is 13 and has a teen account that is linked to my account already.
Does anyone else know why she still can’t get the SIMS 4 packs given as a teen account she should be able to?

My own duaghter's account is not a child one, it's listed as teen 13-17 on the household account. Why then is this restriction on purchasing still there?
