I'm on PC and currently having the same issue which is how I found this post. I removed the Death Flower from the room, focused moodlet went away. I don't think this is bug; while I was looking online for solutions I saw someone else discussing how other flowers caused different emotions.
Interesting. I have had the plant in the same spot for a while and didn't have this issue until the night before the update. I wonder if it has to do with Seasons and the Flower Arranging skill? Apparently when you hit level 3 you can scent your arrangements and depending on what flower is in the arrangement, the emotion or response will differ. Even so, none are listed to give a Focused moodlet and Death Flower is listed to Age Up the Sim it is given to. So I feel like it is still a bug of some sort. I do have more than one Death Flower plant, so I'm going to test them individually to see if they all give the same moodlet, or if it is just this one specific plant.

So I did test with my other Death Flower plants and got the same results. So it isn't one specific plant that is doing it. Still haven't found any additional information on this situation though.
