Sims 4 front door won't set as front door

This started yesterday.
My front door cannot be set as the front door. I have a number of other outside doors, I already tried deleting the other doors, and even the front door too, and it didn't help. i tried using different doors and it didn't help. i tried going to manage worlds, exiting the game, even restarting my computer and nothing helped.
I have no cc.
Also sometimes when i load into the lot it says one item removed from build or something like that because i do not have the associated pack installed. I can't seem to find what item is missing but it is worrisome, all of the packs and dlc i own are installed.
An easy fix. You forgot to add stairs so that it became possible to walk up to the door. Do that and it will work.
