Sims 4 Generational Play Help

Hi everyone!

I played The SIms 2 for a long time because I loved the fact that you could have the children of one household grow up and start their own family in their own home. I thought I could do this in The Sims 4, but when I moved the oldest child out once he became an adult, I realized that when I played with him, time would pass in his parents' house as well. I would love it if I could do what I did in The Sims 2, where I could play with each member of each generation in their own homes. Is there a way for me to change anything in The Sims 4 so I can have time not pass in one household while I am playing with another?

Let me know if you would like me to further explain or clarify anything. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, time runs in all families. This can be changed using the MCCC Dreadpole mod but it is more complicated.
    How I do it:
I use this mod to stops aging only in one of my family. The time runs for the rest of the world. When I come back to this family again, I turn on aging. Unfortunately, I have to do it for each sim separately. But it works.
You can stop the aging of the whole world without this mod. This option exists in the game options available while playing the game

    I don't work for EA
