Sims 4 glitching

My sim will get stuck in one spot of the house (couch, kitchen etc.) if my neighbours come over they won’t leave...they just stand there. If I tell my sim to do something it dosent do it...again just stays in one spot. This is super annoying! 
I haven’t played in a while so today I downloaded the newest update. I haven’t downloaded any expansion packs since my last time on in April and it was working fine then.

please help!
