Sims 4 not working due to error code- Compensation?

This last update has been a nightmare. Posting and trying all these different troubleshooting options.  I am at the point in my frustration where I want to know "what is the compensation for not havi...

Rosemary1935  A few questions:

  • Do you play with mods or custom content, and if so, does it help to remove the Mods folder?  You don't need to save your progress; this is just for testing.
  • Does this happen if you choose Load Game (rather than Resume) and choose a different household to load?
  • If you get the error and then immediately try to reload the house, can you then load in, or do you see the error again?
  • Can you load the house in Build mode?  Use Load Game here too.
  • If you move your sims to a different lot, can you load that household?  What about loading the house in Build mode without the sims living there?


Even if the answer is "none of this works," it's still useful information to have.  And if you get a different error code at any point, or see another problem (e.g. infinite loading screen), please let me know.

    Good day.

    Hope you are doing well.  Thank you for the information.  Unfortunately, it did not help with the error message.  I am not able to do anything after the neighborhood is selected.  I do not think I am using a mod because I do not know how to use them.  Hopefully, I will run into a solution soon.  Thank you for your guidance!
