Sims 4 Sims broke up, can't get back together.

I have these two teen Sims who were dating had full friendship and romance bars. But I decided they should break up (mischief->break up). The romance bar turned red but they were still best friends. ...

I’m having a similar problem however mine are adults and it’s the friendship that is completely red and the romance is (was) full it seems like anything I do to help repair their relationship it makes it worse
