Sims 4 social

It’s 2023 why can’t we play with each other. Sims FOUR like, FOUR GENERATIONS and we can’t play socially yet? Are y’all okay? I’m just saying we don’t have the technical blockage preventing this, so why? Don’t y’all want money? I would love to buy my niece an expansion pack, I would love to see her sims and her home. I’m in Texas and she’s in Colorado, and there are plenty of opportunities for EA to make money, so why isn’t it happening yet? There’s really no excuse, make it happen >.>

There were a Sims online long ago and it was a huge failure. The problem is that the game doesn't lend itself to multiplayer because who should be the one controlling the game and who would just sit and look at what happens? After a while it would be pretty boring for the one just watching so very few if any would pay for that privilege. If you want to watch her play just ask her to record a game session and post it on YouTube. Currently the EA App do not support gifting but you could send her the money to buy an expansion.

That’s reasonable, I’d figure it would be like mmorpg where each controls their own sims in a public lot, at least for trial. Then sims could meet and visit their home lots, like sims mobile. Sims can make interaction requests like ‘play catch’ and ‘join’. Limit the sims to only actions, no chat room or text box. There are ways to make it happen. I started with sims 1 and it was a passion I carried into adulthood. I would like to share my passion with her generation, and technology finally allows for it.

  • @sashmia to be clear, I’m not suggesting charging for this social feature. I meant for custom items, or featured items being sold for money irl, like sim cash in the mobile used to buy featured products.

Sims is a great way to reimagine life, and I wouldn’t want that to be a ‘privilege’.
