sims 4

Hi

I am currently studying in the UK. Therefore I bought my sim4 from the UK store and the game version is UK version.

But I will go back to my home country after I graduate.

Can I still play the game after I go back home ( Asia) ?

Thanks

  • @kirstey08  Yes, you'll lose the DLC you've already bought.  I mean, it'll still be accessible through your current account, just not your new one.

    If you really want a version of Sims 4 with all available languages, what you can do, once you're back in your home country, is have EA customer support remove the base game (ONLY the base game, make that very clear to them) from your Origin account so you can purchase it again.  Since you'll be located in a country that offers the global version of Sims 4 (all languages), you should receive that version.

    But again, this is not a problem if you're okay playing only in English.  The U.K. English-only version will work anywhere and allow you to add DLC to it from anywhere.

  • @kirstey08  Your location won't affect whether you can play: both the base game and any DLC you buy should work anywhere.  However, it's likely you received a language-locked version of Sims 4, as the version sold in the U.K. is English-only.  That won't change when you go home.

    If this bothers you, there are a couple workarounds, one of which is to simply buy the game again in another Origin account once you're home.  The base game is pretty cheap when it's on sale, and if you haven't bought any DLC yet, you could wait until you've created the new account.

    @puzzlezaddict

    Thank you for your reply.

    I have already bought some dlc so I think I am going to keep the UK base game.

    If my base game is UK English version, can I still buy the new dlc after I go back to my home country ( Asia)?

    Will the change of location affect the purchase ?

    Thanks

    @kirstey08  You can buy DLC wherever you happen to be, and the packs will all work with your current base game.  I'm just saying you'll still be stuck with the English-only version, if that's what you have now.  If that bothers you, there are other ways around it too; let me know if you want that info.

    Thank you.

    If I buy the base game in another origin account after I go back to my home country. Will I lose all dlc ? ( I have already bought some dlc in the UK store)
