Sims are dancing & not interacting with anything

I do not use mods, resetting Sims and restarting the game does not help. This problem has been there since one of the updates before the Reaper Event. It seems like there are many other people struggling with the same issue, disabling certain packs they've purchased to be able to play (which only helped me for a short time): https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/FIXED-Sims-are-not-moving-Freezing-Animation-problems/td-p/12383423/page/46. I hope this gets the attention of the developers and will be fixed. I'd love to be able to participate in events and play the game I paid for. Thank you!
