Sims disappearing after loading save file.

Hii,

Recently after searching for mods that need updating, when i went to load my current save file it allowed me to play but my family's household was empty but the house i manually put there was fine and had all the items inside, it was still as i had left it, which makes me think all of my sims had apparently disappeared cus they were not in the my households or any where else.

Im just confused as they appeared in the load menu but were not available to play.

-Plus the game asked me to "recover the files" and that did not make any difference

Can anyone give me recommendations on how to solve the issue...

That would be much appreciated!

    Thanks for the help,

    But it was actually due to a copy of the sims 4 I had that did not contain any of my saves..

    Again it was much appreciated.

    Check to see if the household or individual Sims are in your Library.

    Go to Manage Worlds if you're not there already. Open the Gallery, then select My Library tab. Choose Households for the Category on the left panel, so you're only looking at Sims. Select the Sims you're looking for, then click the Place Household button at the bottom. You can use the freeRealEstate on cheat if they don't have enough money to buy the house.

    But it was actually due to a copy of the sims 4 I had that did not contain any of my saves..
