XBOX version here, latest update my sims just repeat actions until cancelled - eg. Told sim to make a tea, the sim will keep doing it, bond with bees, keep doing the action to check on bee hive, bunch of new issues cropped up..

@jtemplar do you have autonomy on or off in game options and when you say they keep doing the action are they freezing whilst carrying out the action or are they repeating it?
I'd usually restart my game with a glitch like this and if restarting didn't clear the issue I'd try clearing locally saved data. If you haven't done this before, go to Manage Game and Add-ons with the button with 3 lines on it then click Sims 4 you'll see 2 sets of data. Pick the smallest set of data next to your gamertag (see attached) and make sure to only choose delete from console. Then immediately load up the game. It will tell you it's syncing data, so it's retrieving the data you just cleared. Then your game will load. Start your game and see if the glitches are fixed and your Sims are behaving as they should.
If this still doesn't work you could consider reinstalling your game and packs.
But let us know how you get on with this incase this is a bug that needs to be reported.
@simsplayer818 I have autonomy turned off for selected sim, it appears to be caused by some objects, for the tea brewer, I selected brew tea, my sim does it, drinks the tea, then re-ques the same action over and over.
For the bee hive, I did bond with bees, once they finished, the action checking on bee hive queued up, they opened and shut the bee hive, when it was shut, the action checking on bee hive occurred again, they keep doing the same actions until you tell them to go do something else.
I will give that a try, some new strange things are happening since the latest patch, maybe something got corrupted.
@jtemplarI'll test these on my Xbox Series X too and see what my Sim does. I've had a few odd things happen before immediately after a patch as well especially recently.
Edit: my Sim made a drink with tea brewer and did return for another cup but I think that's normal as they've done that before. I cancelled the action for the second cup. But she didn't brew more tea or stay at the tea brewer or get stuck at all. They do carry on drinking until you cancel it though. I got her to Bond with the Bees and she did that and closed the hive. I just got the bees to test so there's no honey to collect or mite treatment to apply, for a couple of actions you have to close the hive afterwards.
The second time she bonded with the bees she opened it up again, but she had nothing queued afterwards. So I tried adding it to a queue with actions queued up afterwards and she bonded with them and then closed the hive and went to her next queued interaction. But she isn't repeating any actions at the hive at all. So adding another action to the queue should work for you too.
