SIMS on origin?!

I want to play Sims (2 would be ideal because it's so nostalgic from my childhood but I would play anything!) to pass the time while social distancing but I'm not really a gamer and suck with computers. I noticed that there are SIMS downloads for like $6 on EA to play on origin?? This seems too good to be true.. can anyone confirm that if I download the game onto origin (again...not a gamer and I've never used origin before either) I'll actually be able to play? I would use my old disks but the CD-ROM on my computer is broken. Thanks!

@soufflesa Yes, I do actually think they’re on sale now.

@soufflesa I’m not 100% sure but I think if you still have the code from the disks you purchased you might be able to enter them in origin to access the digital version.
