Sims sometimes unable to pick up toddlers

This has been a persistent issue ever since the new update. A lot of the childcare interactions between my adult sims and child sims are buggy AF. The most annoying of these issues are that my adult sims sometimes can't pick up the kids. I'll have to constantly cancel the action and re-click for them to finally work. Another prominent issue I see is that I'll click on the toddler and choose "give a bath" or "feed" from the pie menu, my adult sim will then ask the toddler like supposed to, but then the both of them just stand there idly for what feels like an eternity not doing anything and I'll have to try again and again until the game finally gets the message.

EA, I've spent so much time and money in this game and I'm thrilled with the content provided, but please do more to fix the bugs that have been plaguing your game for ages now.
