sims use ladders almost every time instead of staircase

the ea programmers have always made every new item or game interaction top priority 100% or sometimes feels 1,000% with every new pack since sim1, that's why i had to stop putting in some objects, the ping pong table in uni,i have had sims if they went to sleep on their own get up a few seconds later to play ping pong with someone who is busy so the query disappears when they leave bedroom,but instead of going back to sleep they went to the next prioritized object. When backyard pack came out sims stopped using computers or tv as go to object to increase fun, instead the new go to object was the waterslide, constantly using it even in the snow,then they wondered why they are freeing in their swimsuits.

Or Island living when they created the get water action, they never stop getting water from sink upstairs, then fridge, then sink in second bathroom. i don't remember which pack came with the world globe drink maker, but the moment i placed it, they never stopped using it,again it would appear in their query constantly while sleeping or doing uni homework, or studying.

They figured they worked hard creating it, so force it to be used many times. look at ecolife, with recycle trait constantly recycling their own items, or forcing us to use klepto trait,brawls,serial romancer, with all sims thru the nap plan under different names callling it all new features.

Wait till knitting comes out, if its just a click action on the sim to get him to sew,then i wouldn't be surprised if all sims will probably be obsessed with it and start knitting while sitting on the toilet. Or active sims becoming lazy wanting to always sit in the rocking chair and sew.

So it probably always comes down to this...when i tell my friends about these issues they tell me "wait for a mod to fix the obsession issue, i love mods, i wouldn't play without my mods"

I praise those that create the mods for taking the time fixing ea's stubbornness, but i personally don't use mods. So i stick with not using those objects in most households and bite my lip from shouting forbidden words at ea when i do use those items and it starts getting annoying.

For the waking up issue look for noise makers in the bedroom. Radios, TVs, Windchimes and so on. And lock the door for room mates so they don't wake you up. In your example wanting to play ping pong with you.

They also prefer ladders to teleportation most of the time, so my vampire and my wizard (who have their respective teleportation skills set to be used automatically) have become much less efficient at getting from place to place. Also, you can carry things while teleporting, but not while using a ladder, and they suddenly can't throw away their garbage unless I make them put it in their inventories first (or drag it myself). I'm afraid to see what happens with their new toddler. She obviously can't be placed in inventory, so I may have to intervene on a regular basis to see that she doesn't get left somewhere where they can't figure out how to get to her and she can't get out herself.
