Sims will not complete tasks

I updated my game and now my sims won't complete tasks. They will move to where the task is, do the task but won't complete it and become stuck on it, unable to move on to the next thing in the queue. When I exit the game and go back, they'll finish the task I saved them on that they couldn't do before, but when the next action queues they'll again move to where it is but will not complete the action. I've tried resetting them, removing mods, repairing on origin and nothing's worked so far. It has made the game impossible to play as I cannot do anything with my sims except watch them stand and do nothing.
