Sims won't tattoo on tattoo table

Like others have said- check your lot's area designations. they seem to sometimes get changed if you make any alterations on the lot. 

I had the same issue after successfully operating the business for three days. Could not get sims to the tattoo table when the business was open, when previously it was fine, and it was fine if the business was not open. After checking the answers here, I discovered that the lot areas had changed, which is odd as I had not changed them, but many areas had changed from public to residential or from residential to public. The only adjustments I had made to the lot around when the problem started were putting up decorations from the attic box, and also I put up ceiling coverings -which I had forgotten when I set up the lot. I am quite sure I did not deliberately change the lot areas. So it seems that lot area designations can be changed accidentally somehow? I am hoping this is not a random occurring bug but accidentally happened when I changed the ceilings. It's easy enough to re-check the lot area designations after you make alterations on the lot, but we should see what kinds of alterations might be triggering them.

I rearranged my tattoo shop after expanding and then my sim couldnt tattoo anyone . It was literally working before I expanded 😭i dont understand

I have also not been able to tattoo since purchasing the Businesses and Hobbies pack. My sim either chooses to read or use their phone if I tell them to tend to the tattoo table. Really sucks because they heavily showcased being able to tattoo in the trailers but so many people are having issues. 

Check the Sim you are tattooing and the tattoo you are trying to apply - I had this happen repeatedly with a customer, but the next customer I could tattoo no problem. Turned out I was trying to put a tattoo in a "taken" slot on the first customer. Try choosing a new tattoo and see if that works, or a new customer. 

Just went through all of my mods and found that the Sims 4 Community Library mod was causing the issue for me

Double check your area assignments. I had this issue and realized i set my shop to residential on accident.
