Small business not showing as owned, unable to close or open small business

As the title explains, my small business owner sims lose all posibilities to interact with their small business after a while, and the actions become completely useless. The small business panel shows "purchase small business" -- an option that doesn't work either -- even though the sims do own one already and are still deemed as owners on their profile. (see screenshots)

This makes the small business totally unusable, even after travelling on the lot -- it will be possible to open it, but impossible to close it or manage anything about it in the meantime. 

I've seen another person have the same problem which apparently went away after playing with other households, but the bug only propagated to my other small business owner sims after I tried that (specifically after trying to assign an uniform to the employees.... everything about the small business panel just vanished.) 

I have tried running the game with no mods, removed them from the Sims 4 folder, repaired the game.... But absolutely nothing has worked so far, and the bug remained even playing with the game completely bare. 

I'm not sure what to do anymore, as I can't even sell the businesses in question. If anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it!!! Thank you a lot
