Sparkling ground in planters??

I just now noticed that some of my planters sparkle. Like... Not the plant but the ground of the planter. O_O

What does that mean? I can't find anything online about it.

I made a lil video:

One of the planters is sparkling but the other isn't.

actually 2 of the 4 are sparkling.

Nope. There are no lot traits on my lot. And if it was the lot trait, why are only 2 of my 4 planters sparkling than? :o

  • Do you have a bee box? I know that with the bed boxes if you’re relationship with the bees is high enough they will pollinate your plants. Could that be it? All of mine are sparking at the moment, I wish I knew the exact reason why.

  • @Kimo0wW  Did you ever figure this out? I agree with @Phantomlover1717 that the only time I have seen this is when I have the 'Great Soil' lot trait (the way the soil looks in the planter on the right looks like it does when you have this lot trait). But you do not have that lot trait and I have not personally seen this type of soil animation without it. So... If you're still seeing the issue, and since no one has added information yet to identify a different reason for this that is intentional in the game, I would consider trying a few things in case it's a glitch/bug:

    • Repair the game:
Open Origin, click 'Game Library' then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game.
    • If you have mods or CC, try removing them and see if this fixes it. if It fixes the situation you can re-add one at a time to see which one was conflicting with the function/causing the glitch.
Go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
      Delete cache:

Please let us know how it goes.

Ohh 😮 that might be it! I don’t have that trait, but I do live in a micro home and it has the “Let It Grow” perk!

@unisim224, I have always found it with the Great Soil Lot Trait like @SheriGR mentioned, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Let It Grow perk also had the effect! 🙂
