Stair railings question

I'm sorry to barge in on your topic, I thought it best to put all "stair-struggles" in one thread in stead of having dozens. Unfortunatley I don't have any answers for your struggles, but I have another one of my own 😞

Is there a way to remove stair-railings on one side only?

I want a double staircaise that split to the sides at on end and this is easily done - however I also want railings, but this split the long joint part of the stairs on two, since the railings considers it two separate stairs. I can remove all of the railing, however that does NOT look glamorous. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can do this??

I have enclosed a picture that shows what I mean.

I have moved your post into its own thread as it’s not a good idea to merge all stairs issues together, there are a few different ones.

The answer to your question however is no, it is not currently possible to only have railings on one side or remove one one side.
  • @Bluebellflorajazzpus I agree, that would be annoying. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to change it so railings are placed individually per side. Sounds like a good idea to me.

@jazzpus, sadly the answer (at least for now) is no.😞  But hopefully they will change this in an upcoming patch! 🤞  For more on staircases this is a good video to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDaJfZzKWBc
