Starlight Accolades access

My Sim just started out in the Acting career, and after his first gig I got a notification that he was nominated for an award! So after a bit of googling (because the game really isn't clear about where the "award ceremony" is or how it works) I wait until Sunday evening and head down to the "Hottest Spot in Town" only to find that my Sim can't even get in to the building because only Sims with a 3-Star Fame Rank or higher can get in through the door, and he hasn't even reached 1-Star. Am I missing something? Why would the notification even trigger if I couldn't get access to the event?

@AGrinningMonster I actually just tested it out. Once the ceremony starts, they will always let you in, regardless of the fame requirement. My rope was still set to 3, mine was a level 1 and was let in.

@AGrinningMonster Once the awards ceremony starts, it should let you in I believe. If it doesn't, you can click on the rope in front of the door and set it down to level 1 or 2, whatever your sim's fame level is.

That's the problem, my Sim wasn't even up to 1-star yet...

The other option then is to go into build mode and change the door to remove the rope so everyone can access for the event. There is a similar door but without the rope in BB that you can replace it with and that should remove the star rating entrance requirement.
