to what were you able to change it before ? I've never seen a step-parent option in Sims 4. Does the the child have another parent ?
Caregiver sounds like a bug though.
I'm sorry I must have been mistaken there are step parents but only in family tree
I found the care giver button don't know why I didn't see it before
