Strange notification after paying bills

I don't have any packs except for Cool Kitchen Stuff, Grim's Ghoulish Guitar and the Holiday Pack, so I'm not sure how to help here (and I never had it happen to me). Plus I'm on console (Xbox One). 

All I can ask is, do you have any mods installed? If so, maybe someone can help you with that. Unless this isn't caused by mods.

@IrisuChanOkay I tried looking up the whole "owing money for previous lot" thing and couldn't find anything online. So I have no idea how to help.

But hopefully someone comes along on here who can help you with your issue (or at least explain it). ☺️

@IrisuChan , the only thing I can think of is that if your Sims have ever owned a restaurant, store, or vet clinic before? 

I think I may have had that notification once and was just as mystified by it.

At the time I believe I may have noticed it I only had the Cat&Dogs and Seasons expansion. But I was soon distracted by the Create a dog issue and the fact that I will not be able to make a dog without my game crashing and instantly forgot about the odd notification that made no sense. Haven't had it come up again since, or at least that I have noticed.

I don't have any answers for you but I am curious what might have caused it.
