The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe Origin Access Basic

A few weeks ago, I purchased The Sims 4 Standard Edition when it was free for a week. Just now, I discovered that I could get the Digital Deluxe upgrade if I subscribed to Origin Access Basic. So, I went ahead and subscribed to the free trial only to cancel it right afterwards as I don't plan on continuing it, but I did upgrade my game to the Deluxe version. So, I'm wondering if I can still play the Standard Edition and my saved game after my membership expires. I know I definitely won't be able to play the Deluxe version anymore. Is there a way to downgrade the game? Or will the extra content just disappear? Can somebody clarify? Thanks!
