the sims 4 gallery not connecting

Every time I try to open the gallery, it says that connection is required, so I click the button that says connect, but it stays loading, it never connects. I've tried everything i could, I've tried uninstalling the game, reinstalling it, deleting the cache, going offline then online again, etc. nothing worked. which is weird because just 2 weeks ago my gallery was working and i was able to go online. please help.
