The Sims 4

I wanted to suggest a tip on possibly expanding the sims into multiplayer? I've seen Reddit articles and Facebook groups etc say they wish that the sims was capable of letting people play together in a more open world kind of game, please consider this I would be more than glad to show you the Facebook groups of more than 3k+ people that would want this to happen!

@XxNumbStruckxX, yes there are a bunch of people who request this!  We see it here all the time!  But many of them are not aware that the Sims already has tried an online version of the game in 2002 called The Sims Online.  It wasn't that successful and it ended in 2008.   That makes it less likely that they would try another version if the first one wasn't well received.  Many players said it sounded like a great idea but ended up being very boring. 😪

There has also been rumors that TS4 was supposed to be an online game but that it didn't work out.  I don't know if that is true or not.🤔  Other people said it was supposed to be a mobile game.  But if it was supposed to be an online game that didn't work out, I don't think they would be as likely to try it again.

I do think this might work for just being online with people you actually know, though.🙂  But the problem with that is that there will be players who want to play but none of their family or friends play the Sims.  They would end up having to find strangers to play with anyway or they couldn't' play at all! 😞

  • That's sad! Although that was in 2002-2008 we are in 2019 now things have been going well for the sims recently and they could potentially add servers and have the option to add friends etc to join a server 🤷🤔 I think it could work out and I hope they do I think it would be successful considering the gaming platforms have grown through recent years!

@XxNumbStruckxX  yes that was a long time ago, but online anything was huge back then! 🤨  It was so new everybody wanted to be online.🙌  But even with that momentum the online version of the game couldn't sustain enough people's interest.☹️

As for things going well in the Sims recently, it was nothing compared to how well things were for the Sims in the years of 2002-2008!🥳  That was halfway into the original The Sims reign and during the entirety of TS2's reign.  Many people view TS2 as the pinnacle of the Sims (myself included)  as it had the deepest gameplay that has never been matched. 🥳 (TS3 had a lot of bells and whistles, but was pretty much unplayable on most computers, grinding to a complete halt during "gameplay". 😠😢  And the open worlds were usually empty! 😞)  I prefer TS4 over TS3, but TS2 was extremely  addicting in a way I can't describe.

Even Wikipedia said that many people likened the Sims Online to just a giant chatroom. 🤒

If they do ever plan on making another online version, I hope it is more fun than that! 😃

  • TS2 was the best lol did you ever use the cheats 🤣 I used em & left my family for an alien that was rich 😅

& I agree but fallout was the same and a bunch of people are playing it now although they've taken advantage overtime now making you pay real money for a monthly subscription to have private world's etc and people are mad. But I hope they do consider making another sims online and since theres advanced technology now I'm sure It would be awesome & way better than that old online sims!

@XxNumbStruckxX, I'm not sure since the old Sims Online used monthly subscriptions and it wasn't very fun or very popular, so it doesn't sound as if the technology is all that advanced if they are still using online monthly subscriptions for other games. 🤨  And yes, computers today have better processors, are more fast and powerful, so they would run the game better, but that doesn't have anything to do with gameplay!  For example, on today's comptuers the Sims 4 runs smooth, and while it is a lot of fun, I still find that TS2 had better gameplay, even on the less advanced technology.  So, just because technology is more advanced, doesn't necessarily make for better gameplay! 😉

And even if they were to up the gameplay on a new online version, the fact remains that online versions rely on other people and how they play to determine your gameplay!  So, if you either have a bunch of boring people, or worse, a bunch of mean people online with you, you wont' have a good experience!

Your poor Sim's family! 😢  I hope your Sim enjoyed their relationship with the rich Alien! 😃  I used cheats all the time, as I like to explore different aspects of the game! 🤓  Remember the Sims 2 cheat with the good old Tombstone of Life & Death?!?  That was a blast! 🙌:

In my game, I had an Alien Sim who turned her mean dormmate into a Zombie using a CowPlant and the Resurrect-O-Nomitron! 🥳 Good times! ❤️
