Tray folder

Hello everyone, I've recently been trying to download houses and lots for Sims 4 and have read through a few sites on how to download them. I've followed their instructions but am a bit confused. The sites mention a tray folder. I'm not sure what it is. I'm fairly new to Sims as I have joined almost a year ago. If anyone can reply with clear instructions on how to download lots and teach me about tray folders, that would be amazing. Thank you!!

    @tissueboxes  The Tray folder is in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, and this is the folder that contains your saved households and builds.  So you can download someone else's household or build and add it to your game by simply placing the provided files inside Tray.  The files need to be directly in Tray, not in a subfolder, and they need to be unzipped.

    The Tray folder is only for saved library items, not mods or custom content.
