Unable to Write Skill Book (Mentor Scenario)

The last thing I need to do in order to complete the mentor scenario is to write a skill book, but it is not showing up as something my sim is able to do. They are level 10 in the violin skill (what I used to mentor), level 7 in writing, and level 5 in other skills, but there is no option under 'write..' for write a skill book.

I have no ccs and no mods, but I do not have all of the expansion packs. The expansion packs that I have are Cats & Dogs, Get to Work, Discover University, and Seasons.

I think you need to have completed the Renaissance Sim Aspiration to be able to write skill books. However, my scenario still doesn't complete even though I've completed 3 of them. ☹️

I had the same problem and I couldn’t fix it neither by removing cc nor repairing the game files. But, after finishing Renaissance Sim Aspiration; the writing skill nook option just popped up out of blue. My sims has writing skill level 10 and violin skill level 10.

I had the same issue and got tired of how long it took to complete this. I just cheated the renaissance sim aspirations, and the skills options appeared. EA should have said this when they tell you to write a skills book. It took me a week to find this answer, and I didn’t feel like doing the full renaissance aspirations fully especially when I didn’t have plans for the sim to Have a career.

@maxfish2 The scenario not completing sounds like a bug. You might want to make a bug report on that particular issue.

Going to move this thread to General Discussion as it's feedback for the scenario that there should be more info on how to do it.
