Hey,
I just noticed that a bunch of unplayed households have completely disappeared from the world. I can not find them anywhere in „manage households“. They are not in „not in world“ either. They are just gone.
I have turned „moving in/out“ off in neighbourhood stories, so that can’t be the reasons. I also don‘t play with mods/cc.
Is this a bug/save file corruption? Or is the game culling sims bc there are too many? How do I fix/prevent this?

seems I missed your answer. Yes, pets count, hidden households count.
You need to put them in my households or Sims are getting culled.
I just counted the sims in my save and they are less than 800. (Unless pets count too?) Could it still be a case of culling?
As I said, I don't use mods or cc.
So the game will even cull sims that live in the world? :( I thought culling only affected those not in world. Thanks for the quick reply!

The game does have culling that removes households if you have more than 800 Sims in your game. Unplayed households aren't safe from culling. Best thing you can do is remove some of the Sims you don't need
