Mods not loading/ Saving/Crashing
When I am playing the Sims 4 game my game tends to crash out of nowhere. There is also a lot of freezing when I am trying to save my game or build a house. When I think that I have saved my game it seems to reset what I tried to save like it didn't save it at all. Also if I have the mods to a house in my folder the game would automatically replace it with something crazy and claim that I don't have a certain pack. The season pack is not loading into my game at all. I checked and even updated my mods and redownloaded everything and I'm still having issues. I play on my Laptop MacBook Pro.
All conversations default to Awkward Encounter
My Sim has high charisma and is almost always Confident (due to High Self-Esteem), but almost every conversation she has with someone who is not her household defaults to Awkward Encounter. This happens regardless of the other Sim's mood. I can occasionally get it up to "Casual Discussion" after several positive interactions, but it will almost immediately go back on the next interaction even if that interaction is also positive.
Game not saving properly / reverting to older save (mods + removed CC issue)
Hi, I’m having an issue where my game appears to save, but when I exit and come back, it loads an older version instead of my latest progress. I’m playing on a MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) and I do use mods: - **bleep** - MC Command Center (I had autosave on before but turned it off) I also previously had a custom content drink machine by LittleBubbo that was showing as broken in Better Exceptions, but I have since removed both the CC and Better Exceptions from my Mods folder. What I’ve already tried: - Turning off MCCC autosave - Removing Better Exceptions - Deleting the broken CC - Deleting localthumbcache.package - Using “Save As” instead of just Save The issue is still happening where my progress doesn’t stick after I reload the game. Game version: (you can fill this in from the bottom right of your main menu) Could this be leftover data from the removed CC, a mod conflict, or a corrupted save file? What steps should I take next to fix this? Thanks in advance!
Sims napping instead of sleeping, even at night.
My sims will default to napping when they have low/no energy instead of sleeping. Some. yes, will use their assigned bed but will default to napping, even at night. I saw someone mention this 11 years ago, that they will nap during the day and sleep at night, yet it's still an issue? It's not just one household, but literally every sim. It's annoying having to constantly make sure they are being "realistic" in their energy levels and having to change them from napping to sleeping.Offline
I tried everything to find out why, but my game tells me I am offline since months. I wanna use the gallery too bad, but I can't because It will search for a connection, until I stop it. I once tried to let It search for 3 hours, carrying the MacBook through the house, ending up placing it exactly next to the wifi router, Notihing. I deleted and installed again, searched the internet for ideas and tried a few, an still found no conclusion for the problem. When I tried to contact support about it, I ended up here. Maybe someone can help
[IL] Swim faster at level 6 Fitness not happening
Not sure if this is something that came with Island Living or is exclusive to Island Living, but very rarely do my Sims swim "faster" after reaching level 6 in Fitness. Not game shattering, but not what I expect either. Sim "can now Show Off Muscles to other Sims." Sim "can now swim even faster than before." Except this Sim is now at level 10 with no change to her swimming ability. Still flailing her arms as if she were just learning to swim. Observed in both my regular game - with and without mods - and in a vanilla test game.
Furious and Fancy! But what's broken?
I added the Regal Residence attribute to my Sims' lot. As a result, some of my Sims occasionally get the Furious and Fancy moodlet, which makes them angry because "[Name] hates it when broken items are nearby in their regal home." I have been unable to figure out what items are broken. Any tips on how to figure out what broken item is setting off an infant or toddler?
