Playing new sims delete other sims houses & progress
This has happened a few times to me now. I had a sims couple I've played with to the point of them having 5 children, all of which were toddlers at one point. I know, I was very overwhelmed lol.. Well I needed a break from all the kids so I created a new sims family and played with them for a bit. When I went to resume playing with the couple and their 5 kids, they had disappeared. Thankfully I was able to recover the original couple in my gallery but the 5 kiddos were not saved and never recovered.. I had to start the couple over from the start. Their house, progress, kids were all gone. Now it's happened again. I just purchased Cottage Living and visited the world to check out the houses within. I visited one lot that a family was living on and when I exited, WITHOUT saving, my sims couple was again vanished from their lot. House gone. Progress gone. I was able to recover them by deleting the recent saves from my "save" folder in my Sims 4 document but I don't want to fear creating new households at the cost of losing the sims, houses, and progress I spend hours developing and building. Is my game bugged? As a potentially related side note- when I go to load a game only 2 sims families show up to play. Is that normal or should I be seeing more than just 2 options on the load game screen? Thank you for your time and help!Save Corruption
I keep losing my save progress to the recurring lot disappearing bug. Over the past few weeks, I’ve restarted fresh saves multiple times, specifically in Newcrest, and before I can even finish the exterior shells (no Sims, no interior decor), the game corrupts. The lots show up completely blank, though the custom names and lot values remain. My saves don't generate [. bad] files, I don't get any error codes, and I run 3 mods that are fully updated. All lots are created and not from the gallery. I don't use For Rent or residential rentals, and all lots were set as standard Residential. Even after testing a completely vanilla save file with zero mods or CC, the issue persists, and entire maps are wiped clean or reverted to default EA builds. Apparently this issue has existed since 2015? Why is there no solution yet? That was over 10 years ago. As a long-time player with most of the packs, this is absolutely ridiculous.Ondarion won't load after latest base game update.
Hello Fellow Simers! Im hoping someone can help me with this issue or provide a solution. I'm using a Mac and after the latest update my Ondarion world wont load. It goes to the world but its white and I can't do anything but return to the main game menu. The other worlds load just fine its just Ondarion and theres noI've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting caches - the works - but nothing seems to work. Please HELP!Game crashes during baby shower
Basically what the title says.. My game has been working just fine since the update but today when I'm hosting a baby shower event the game just keeps on crashing after a few minutes. Yes, I use cc but no script mods and since the game has been working fine until the event I don't think my cc are causing the issue. Christmas celebration went just fine so it seems to be the babyshower only or maybe scheduled events. Anyone else having this issue?
Infinity Pools
Hi EA & fellow simmers 💚 I built a house on raised terrrain and I successfully made an infinity pool in the backyard on the same leveled, raised terrain. I deleted it to reconfigure the backyard but now anytime I make a new pool with staircase my sim is saying they cannot get it. The terrain is level with the house, completely leveled in the back, staircase intact, I cannot figure out for the life of my what is stopping them from going in. Please help!
Custom Venue preset data!!! A Question
Okay this is not a question to help fix the issue as I have a good idea what happened, but more of a technical question and I hope this is the best place to ask. sometimes I reset my Sims 4 Documents folder for a clean slate...which means I delete most of the folder except the important ones (tray, save, etc.). I opened one of my lots that had a custom venue preset with everything setup. But once in, I noticed that the preset was completely gone! I think because of deleting the sims 4 doc. folder I got rid of some information. so my question is if anyone knows where the data of the custom venue presets are stored?? did me deleting the sims 4 documents folder get rid of them?? or is it stored somewhere entirely different?? that way I can avoid messing up again.household disappeared/deleted
I was playing my current save today and noticed that one of the premade households has completely disappeared. "Best of Friends" is completely gone even though it was there last night. One of them graduated autonomously (even though I have the autonomy turned off) and left the household awhile ago. And I was able to find her in the household catalog. But when I went to look for the other half of the household, she's nowhere to be found. She's not in the dorm, and she's not in either of the household catalogues. So the game must have deleted her completely. All of these bugs are getting old :(
