There have been no changes to vampires' thirst decay as far as I can tell. I play vamps too although most of mine are grandmasters and have a lot of the perks. I have around 25 in my main save. But the thing you said about the plasma packs makes me wonder how you have been feeding them. It takes a lot of plasma packs to fill the thirst need if it's low. It always has. The same goes for Plasma Janes. Takes more than a few every time. While you can feed them that way, it always takes a long time if you don't have many of the right perks to reduce the need. I find that taking a drink from other sims is much faster so I do that except when I'm trying to complete the aspiration milestones. Then I use the plasma packs and Plasma Janes but only as long as it takes to complete those milestones. Then it back to finding sims, willing or otherwise to feed my vamps. I only use the packs then if I can't find a "victim" in the middle of the night.
One trick I found to have NPCs available when my vamps get thirsty is to have roommates. If one of them has the hidden trait that causes them to invite their friends over, then you have a steady pool of sims for your vamp. Have to watch out that you don't make the roommate unhappy or they will move out but it does work pretty well for me. But it does depend on how you play and if you are willing to accept negative relationships. For me, I generally don't care about what the NPCs think of my vamp sims but if you do, then spreading around who you drink from and doing a lot of friendly socials can get and keep the relationships at decent levels.
Hope this helps.

That does help a bit! If you don't mind me asking for a bit more information, do you know or remember roughly how long it takes the thirst need to decay w/o perks or weaknesses? That's much more concerning to me than how much she fills up from plasma fruit or packs. Like I said, her thirst seems to decay roughly at about the same rate as a normal sim's hunger need, and I thought I remembered it decaying MUCH slower. Like, how many times a day do you think a beginner vampire should have to Deep Drink to keep from getting negative Thirst moodlets?
Tbh what I'm probably gonna do is get a random NPC to come over, into a basement, and lock them in lmfao. If this is a problem w/ the game and not my memory, I don't anticipate it being solved any time soon, so that's at least a cheaper workaround than buying a bunch of plasma packs or gardening.

@wickedsnack A Beginner Vampire without perks need Plasma like 3-4 times a Day. During the day their hunger will Decrease / Deplete faster especially going outside. The Sun as you know will kill a Beginner Vampire really fast. All their Needs will Decrease instantly. You Buy a Coffin for them to hibernate in so none of their "Needs" will Decay. wait till Night time their needs won't Decay so fast and Begin to teach them. I recommend teaching them and getting them to GrandMaster and getting all the perks. So you will never have to worry about their needs Decaying so fast. So the Sun and their thirst won't be much of a problem anymore. My GrandMasters can handle the light and their thrist hardly goes Down and they only need plasma once every few Days in game. I Hope this was helpful to you.

Okay, so it is just an issue of my memory, since I've never had a GrandMaster Vampire, and like I said I thought I remembered it being a slower decay rate. Thanks!
