walking away from tasks

This has been happening for a while, so I'm unsure when exactly it started. It does seem to be getting worse. My Sim walks away from tasks, including cooking, painting, doing yoga, etc. Doesn't seem to happen with gardening. Have other people had this problem and any suggested fixes? No cc, no mods.

This has happened to me a few times recently, too. I had a sim cooking some food and in the middle of preparation, she just stopped and decided that she wanted to go play on the computer instead. I also have no idea when it actually started, but it's been around for a hot minute.
