Im looking to buy a laptop in a few days, specifically to play Sims 4. Whats the best laptop to run Sims 4 on high with mods and packs under $900?

I have a 12" Macbook from 2017 with an Intel m3 chip, 8GBs of ram and Intel 615 Graphics. It runs The Sims 4 on Ultra with no issues/lag. I would personally buy a desktop, though, they are much more adaptable. You can switch out parts and CPUs later on if you plan for the future when building/buying one. You could get yourself a decent desktop with $900. Just a thought. Happy hunting! Stay healthy.

I'm not sure where in the world you're at, but I shop at Micro Center and their prices are pretty decent.
@SgtDank0 There are plenty of good options for $900 and under. Amazon doesn't seem to have a good selection right now though, at least not at the normal prices. (It's probably something about people being cooped up in their houses with nothing to do except try to work from home... and play video games all night.) Anyway, you could get a great gaming laptop for that price.
If you're willing to spend the full $900, not including sales tax, this is an excellent choice. Its Nvidia 1660 ti is overkill for Sims 4, not that it's a bad thing; it also has 16 GB RAM rather than the 8 you'd usuall see in laptops in this class.
If you'd rather keep the price down, you could get an Nvidia 1650, which is still good enough to run Sims 4, all packs included, on ultra graphics settings, with some room to spare. We're not sure whether that card will always be able to maintain ultra settings, since we don't know how demanding future expansions will be; it'll probably be a close call either way. But if you don't mind the prospect of playing on a mix of high and ultra settings in a couple years, one of these would do nicely:
The second one has more storage overall but a smaller solid state drive, so you'd need to store most data on the HDD.
