Which expansion pack?
I’ve just seen that a lot of expansion packs are on sale for Halloween. i would like to buy one of them but I can’t decide 😱 what is your suggestion? And why? do you have any of the expansion on ...

@yoyogi1, I have all of the packs and I enjoy all of them! ❤️ But it is hard for someone who doesnt' know you to know what you will like. The best anyone can do is to give some suggestions, or reasons why they like a particular pack or maybe tell you which packs have had the most postiive things said about them. 😉
According to Origin, the following packs are on sale now:
Island Living
Get Famous
Seasons
Cats & Dogs
City Living
Get Together
Get to Work
Vampires
Spooky Stuff
All of these are Expansion Packs (EPs) except for Vampires which is a Game Pack (GP) and Spooky Stuff which is a Stuff Pack (SP)
I would focus on either EPs or GPs as they are lager and have more gameplay. SP are inexpensive, even without them being on sale, but they usually only have one gameplay element.
The best pack for you also depends on how you like to play... Do you like to build houses and public lots? The Island Living, Cats & Dogs, Vampires, and Get Toghether are good choices (Island Living has beautiful Hawaiian inspired items, Vampire has dramatic Gothic inspried items, Cats & Dogs has a lot of Cape Cod style architecture and homey items, and Get Together has a lot of Tudor architecture and community lots/activities. Get Famous can also be a good building pack, as well.
Perhaps you prefer realistic gameplay? The Seasons abd Cats & Dogs are the best out of these.
For Fantasy Gameplay Vampires is the best choice (although some might argue being extremely famous would be a fantasy, in which case Get Famous woud be a good fit.
Get to Work, despite its name, has a strong fantasy element with the introductions of Aliens, but the rest of the pack is realistic.
If you really want a new world with a lot of lots for your Sims , then Get Together has the most , by far! It also has a powerful Club system. Vampires has a wonderful system of perks and weaknesses that can make each Vampire different from another Vampire, forcing you to play those Vampries in different ways. City Living has some terrific ethnic outfits, furniture, foods, drawing from cultures from all over the world! It also has 5 different festival events. I love the colors in this pack ... everthying is so vibrant! Season allows you to either participate in existing holidays, or create your own!
If I had to pick one pack I would pick Cats & Dogs, personally, becasue I need pets in my Sim life as well as my real one! ❤️ But when asked what is the best pack for most players, I would have to say Seasons! 🙌 With Seasons, every age is affected from toddler to elder! I love the new CAS items that I can dress all my Sims in . I love the activities that Sims can engage in , such as stomping in rain or mud puddles, waterballon fights, lounging in the kiddie pool or letting toddlers play in the kiddie pool, raking leaves, playing in leaf piles, making snow pals and snow angels, and all the holiday activites and house decorations! I think more people are satisfied wtith Seasons. It is one of those packs that you don't have to do anything special to enjoy, like going on vacation , but is a pack that works its way into multiple aspects of your Sims lives! 🥳
If you turn on your game while online, on the Main Menu screen you can get a preview of the tiems in each pack. Just click on the button with the icon for the pack you want to look at and it will show you a picture of each item. CAS items on one tab and Build/Buy items on the other tab. The pictures will not show you all the color variations for each item, but you can get a general idea of what you will get in the pack, as far as items go! 🙂

what I really like the most about the sims is building houses, the simulation living part and playing with my sims body/hair/clothes.
im tempted to buy dogs&cats expansion because I love puppies 😁 but I don’t want to be disappointed
im also tempted by the season expansion pack.

The cats and dogs expansion is great you can buy a vet clinic and make money being a vet which i think is a great feauture 🙂

For the building houses part, most Builders love Get Together! Probably Cats & Dogs after that , followed by Vampires and Island Paradise. Those all have great architectural elements in those packs! They are good for interior designing as well, but other packs to consider for interior design are Seasons and City Living.
For gameplay I love Seasons and Cats & Dogs the best, followed by Vampires and City Living. But a lot of people love the Club system in Get Together... it is wonderful, but I play more family play so I don't join as many clubs as I should. 😉 But i've know others to have used thes clubs in very creative ways! 🙌 One of my favorite uses for the clubs is the Gardening club called "The Garden Gnomes" . Instead of meeting at the default lot to hang out, I have them come to my Sims's garden and I will harvest all the produce and they will do all the other gardening activites for free! And you get club points while this happens... the points let you purchase either clothing or secret handshakes, or more powerful interactions.
For Create a Sim, my favorite is (again) Seasons and Cats & Dogs) . There are a lot of new Winter outfits, raincoats, and Summer attire in Seasons as well as hats and jewlery! In Cats & Dogs there are a lot of dog and cat themed items that are cute! But I also love the clothing in City Living and Island living since both packs have such colorful items! 🙂
As for Cats & Dogs, it is a bit tricky to get them to breed in the game. I dont know if this bug was fixed yet or not, but it used to be that you couldn't have your dog or cat breed with strays. But I was able to get them to breed if I owned both of the parents and they were on good terms with each other. ❤️
