@PARICAST Could you run a couple of additional tests, please?
First, test in a clean folder with a new save:
- Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
- Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
- Start with New to test if your issue recurs. (If you actually see an old save there, then let me know! That means you have folder issues)
If that works, let's test your previous save:
- Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
- Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select your regular save to test.
Let me know your results. (I'll try fo follow up quickly, but it's a lovely day and I'm likely heading out for some of it.)
@luthienrisingThank you so much for your reply. I added a Sim from my library twice and changed their body shape: one is fit and one is fully fat. When they're in gameplay, they will randomly have the same body shape. If the fit one eats food, she'll immediately become as fat as the other Sim. It's like the game thinks they're the same Sim. By the way, this doesn't happen if I make a Sim via twin DNA.
@PARICAST Could you please test with no mods or CC and with a newly created Sim?
@luthienrising Yes, it was tested with no mods or CC and a few times when I created a new Sim.
@PARICAST Normally that issue is mod-caused. let's try a more drastic clearing out:
- Drag the whole Sims 4 folder out of Electronic Arts to the desktop
- Do a game repair from the EA App
- Now test in a new save
@luthienrising I am sure that it's not mod-caused. I've tested all possible issues thoroughly, as I am a programmer. Without any mods, adding a Sim from the same library can cause this bug. You may try it yourself to see if it happens: make one Sim, save it in your library, and create a new household. Add this Sim twice to make two Sims in one household, give them different body shapes, and then play with them for a while (15-30 minutes). You will see something weird.
However, I fixed this problem by creating two Sims via the twin option, and then it was fixed.
Thank you for your fast response.
@PARICAST Because you're reproducing this with no mods, I'm going to move you Game Issues. Is this the only circumstance you're having this happen in - adding the same Sim twice into your household, and that includes in a completely new game folder (not just without mods)? Just want to make sure this is clear for the next people in support.
@luthienrising Yes, it's the only circumstance that caused this to happen to me both with and without mods. And when I tested without mods, that means I completely removed all mods from the Mods folder.
