YA sims and Teen sims won't go through Certain doors of the house
Hi so I got permission from another EA player to furnish her basegame houses for fun and stuff. So I recently Furnished one of her Basegame houses and I Moved my one of my Families inside of the house. 1 Young Adult Female 1 Male Toddler 1 Teen Female 1 Female Child and 1 Male Child. I tried to make the YA female take the toddler to bed and she kept making the animation that something was in her way. The toddler went into the room just fine but she would not enter the room. I tried it with the teen and she wouldn't either. I have not tried it with the children though. I thought maybe something was blocking the doors So i moved anything that was close to the door and still the same thing. And its not just the toddler room either. It's the teenage daughter's room next to it and the Bathroom next to the teenage daughter's room as well. They will not go into those rooms. I need some help please?!
I have the house uploaded on the Gallery. I uploaded the furnished version to my gallery However I did not make the house I only furnished it.
I included a screenshot of the house on the Gallery
@MadiiLuvhsYuh I have good news. The error is not you, it's the original home.
I tried in your home with and without furniture and the Sim adult and toddler will not go past the hallway (see below). So I downloaded the original builder's shell with no furniture. Same result - both the toddler and adult will not go past this point in the hallway:
So, I went to the roof. I found that the tallest roofing section is the issue. The pitch is too tall and the eave ends up causing the issue for routing, even though you cannot see it in the home. Please do one of the following. You only need to do one, as either will fix the routing issue:
- Lower the pitch of the roof by selecting the roof section and dragging the plumbob downward until the roofing section is the same height as the one next to it. This is my favorite option of the two for the esthetic of the home:
- Or you can pull the eave of this roofing section upward:
(Select the roofing section and drag the eaves adjustment arrow upward)
