The recent update added base game cupcakes to the regular cooking menu. This is awesome!
However, many food items from Get to Work are still trapped within the confines of the cupcake machine. Can these items PLEASE be added to the regular baking menu? If you freed the cupcakes, please free the rest!
The latest update that allows us to cook cupcakes in the oven does not include the baking skill from GTW. The large cupcake machine is still needed if you want to make those recipes.
Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but can confirm the items in the bake menu on the cupcake machine (muffins and donuts) aren't available in either cook or bake in the kitchen.
I too can confirm that the pastry options from the cupcake machine are not available on a regular oven, however, the patch notes said that cupcakes would be available to made on the oven, so similar to @PipMenace 's comment, I wasn't sure if this was by design or just an oversight. And as @CCuteCCabaret commented, making pastries requires the baking skill from Get to Work vs the base game cooking skill (homestyle cooking skill).
I play on PC, game version 1.101.290.1030, have all the currently released packs except the Modern Menswear kit and I removed my mods folder before I updated (I also deleted localthumbcache file and repaired my game after I updated).

Yeah, I was so worried they were going to forget the Get to Work baking recipes and it turns out they did - except they didn't forget to adjust them for new ingredients. I get not wanting to make the cupcake machine completely useless but it's very disappointing that I will still need a mod to not have to use the giant machine that doesn't make any sense to put in most sims houses.
@metzger425with you 100% on this. I want to bake doughnuts (as well as the other 26 recipes) in my oven, it's so disappointing that they weren't freed as well.
Please, please EA #freebakedgoods from the Cupcake Machine!
@metzger425 , @JuniperWhimsy , @gooochyeee , I agree! I do really wish all of the baked goods could be made in a regular oven.😢 It doesn't make much sense for them not to be. We could still use the Cupcake Machine for storytelling purposes, but not everyone plays with a story to tell in mind!
That said, I'm still very happy that at least the cupcakes have been freed! 🙌😋🥰
I don't want to be a party pooper, but I don't think they will make it possible, because otherwise the cupcake machine would essentially become a useless object.
@GiardiniDiMarzo , i see what you are saying, and you are probably right, but it is still frustrating. I still think the Cupcake Machine has some use since it can be used for storytelling, or for builders who want to make a large bakery. 😉 I have one that I use at a Cheff's house to "practice" on her family, and even if there were to add the extra baked goods to the ovens,. I would still keep it since it is fitting for a baker or chef to have one.😄 I also added one to one of my universities with a cheat, because it seemed like some kind of kooky vending machine (basically, it fit into the story that I was telling in both instances!) But it is still nice to be able to make everything be available to normal Sims, or for Sims who live in apartments or tiny houses! 😉
