TLDR: No, don't think so.
I mean, I love SpongeBob, we even share the same birthday July 17th (in my 20s I had a SpongeBob bday cake once XD), I have a Gary plush that meows and I seen a many episodes and a couple of movies (even have the first on the DVD LOL).
But I don't think I can make those kits work for my Sims gameplay (though I am in love with that fish tank).
edit: Well maybe a few key items that could pass for steampunk (tv/stereo/air lock door/spy window), but I don't buy kits to start with as I feel they cost too much, so a handful of items would be really pushing price wise.
