@DragonAge_300905 I have the fabricator on a community lot so she'd have to travel and get out of the house, plus her lot is too small to have it there. I do have a recycler on the community lot and also one on her home lot hidden away. So I tried using the fabricator after she recycled what she found in the dumpster and I saw she had enough bits and pieces.
@mightysprite Yes, I can click the non-grayed out options, but nothing happens. Well actually, I'm not exactly sure what should happen. The box like the picture I showed, just stays on the screen and never minimizes after I click my choice. If I "x" out of it after making a choice, she doesn't do anything, like it's not actually been activated.
@Starfree I bought 4 dyes before she went dumpster diving on the community lot, I didn't realize those didn't automatically go into her inventory. It said they'd be delivered by mail, but when she got back home and clicked on the mailbox there wasn't anything there and it had been over 12 sims hours.
