I remember the sims1! My youngest daughter came home one day (she was about 9 then) and started talking about a game her friend, and her friends mother played. My older daughter had been in a serious accident and couldn’t get around well for awhile, and we got interested in the game listening to my youngest talk about it. We had one computer st the time for a 4 person family. The 3 of us girls had to take turns playing. Sims1 must have been pretty far along when we heard about it, because not too long later the sims 2 came along. My oldest got a new computer, and the sims 2. I would play in the mornings and she in the afternoon. We both loved the sims 2, and back then even got into making custom clothes on the computer for sims. I have to say I believe it was my favorite of all. Once in awhile my daughter would pick up an expansion pack, and she downloaded custom content from a few trusted sites, Making Magic was a favorite of ours, but the computer got to a point that we were having problems playing it. When the sims 3 came along I bought a new gaming laptop (my first laptop), and my daughter bought me the game for my birthday, But at the time I played an online game too, along with both of my girls, we had just lost my husband to cancer. and my laptop kept crashing. I loved the open world, but with the computer crashing and the rabbit holes (which I didn’t like) I decided to stop playing after the first expansion, got tired of reloading the games in. When the sims 4 came out, I decided I wanted to try the game again. My boyfriend bought me a laptop and I picked up all the packs those first 2 years, but my laptop wasn’t a gaming laptop and by the time toddlers came out it lagged too much, so I spent about 2 years saving up for a new computer. And this is the first time I have had all the packs), but don’t use custom content or mods, so I loved being able to pick up a new pack each month. I like all the changes they have been able to make, over the last few years. I play with aging off and have lots of families. I love that this time no matter which world they live in they can all be friends. I wish we would see more packs for the sims 4 though, I really miss the stuff packs! I have $50 dollars in EA cards from Christmas that are burning a hole in my pocket!
