2 dogs at adoption

I am not sure why this was happening, but here it goes : I told my single Sim to adopt a dog. So I checked through the available dogs and chose a brown puppy. But as the guy arrived he did not bring the puppy but instead he brought an adult fox plus the puppy...

I had my sim greet the puppy and realized that he is aggressive. So I checked the fox and his relationship bar went like almost half full. They hit it off right from the start. So I adopted the fox called Kevin.

He is amazing, but something obviously is weird. He is smart yes, but since when does a dog instant learn everything I ask him not to do? I think usually it takes couple of times. But he only needed once, even for going potty.

Now a couple of minutes ago the game told me that Kevin learned the pet training skill and can now teach certain things. I mean clearly something fishy going on?

Dogs with the smart trait do actually learn pretty fest. And telling them not to do something doesn't, I think, affect the training skill. However, I'm confused as to why your fox has the pet training skill - isn't it the sim that should have it? And if so, that fox would creep me out & I'd probably put it back up for adoption

I truly have no idea... Lol. I knew from other smart dogs they needed at least twice to be told off, when they did something they shouldn't. But Kevin, is barking like a normal dog. I was just so confused when suddenly they pop up came again telling me about Kevin's skill LOL.

Oddly enough right after that he had a green skill bar hanging over him. Nope I am not using the control pets mod and as far as I know the mods I do have are up to date.

It's creepy. It's almost like Kevin is a human :D I'd check in with the aliens, and get rid of him asap xD But hey, if he's not otherwise acting creepy, like suddenly taking a shower, I guess having a dog so smart he could train himself isn't the worst thing that could have happened to your sim either? :/
  • Well let's see, first time my sim created a poodle on the floor, Kevin was outside the opposite side of the house. But when the floor became wet, he suddenly started sprinting towards my sim and dropped himself in the water. My sim told him off and he instantly learned that.

Then my sim had to repair the computer and as the stuff was lying on the ground, literally a second later, Kevin came sprinting to play in the trash lol. Told him off.

Then he learned speaking after my sim taught him to. And shortly afterwards the pop-up came. I think it's funny actually. He quite literally sneaked in to the adoption. I did not pick a fox on adoption. That was the first weird thing. That the adoption guy brought two dogs lol.

Maybe you accidentally clicked on the fox. You can adopt up to 3 cats/dogs, meaning that adoption person can bring one, two or three pets. Just adopt the puppy and send the adoption agent on the way.

That maybe the reason why, I did click on the Fox but didn't think anything of it, as usually the person only brought 1 dog or cat. I had no clue you can actually select more than 1 lol. Okay now I know and because of this little accident I got the cute Fox. The puppy was aggressive and the first introduction brought their relationship into red. The fox however jumped into the green half way through after my Sim introduced herself to the fox. That's the main reason I chose the fox after all
