There is an option to turn off Celebrities. I haven't done it yet, but there should be a way to turn a celebrity into just a regular non-celebrity sim.

I haven't been playing my game much since I've added this pack, but one thing I did see the last time I played was I sent my sim to a nightclub, and the DJ kept stopping, starting, and stopping again because the celebrity (not my sim, but another) was in the room trying to dance. I'm getting pretty close to seeing about turning all those celebrities into non-celebrities, but I'm waiting to see if EA deals with it in the next patch or not.

I'm tempted to buy it now that you mentioned the sale :smiley: I've been sort of on a simming break (haven't even tried the terrain tools), but I'm playing just now and think the fame system would add to the game. Still unsure if I should wait for a better sale as I might not be able to play much this month.

My sims whom are five star celebrities have been to restaurants and haven’t had npcs halt their actions. Yet at least. I’ve been to other areas such as gyms and other sims who celebrities do appear and steal the spotlight but not as much as others have said. The only only thing so far is my sim keeps reacting in disgust and only a mod has been able to fix that so far. Other than that GF is really fun and enjoyable, though my sim hasn’t been exactly flowing in wealth with her gigs.

On a side note thanks for letting us know about the 30% discount, just bought Laundry day stuff!

@luimistelija Well, as an expansion GF is bound to be available at 50% at some point, so it might be worth to wait, if you are not playing that much right now anyway. I was just not willing to pay full price because I am disappointed in the size of the world.

@CrystalAbyss1 Thanks for sharing your in-game experience. That sounds encouraging and I do not mind adding mods to my game.
Laundry Day is a good SP. I don't enjoy washing simulated clothes, but the CAS and BB are great and I never regretted getting the pack.

@CrystalAbyss1 That may be due to the fact your sims are famous, however. It seems to be that anyone in a higher fame rank can cause your sim to freak out, etc etc. Naturally if you're at the top level it makes sense why you might experience it less

I think the pack is worth it while on sale, especially with the option of toggles and mods to fix bugs and give you your preferred way of working.

Idk about “invading celebrities”. That sounds like hundreds of them appear and over run your world. I only noticed a handful of celebrities in my world.

One thing that occasionally happens is you go to a venue and a celebrity shows up. Say you go to a club to dance but a celebrity shows up to dance there, all the normal sims stop dancing and start acting in awe of the celebrity. Even the sim you are controlling. It’s kind of annoying but it doesn’t happen all the time. It probably happens more often to people who add a lot of celebrities to their world.

The only part of GF I really dislike is the celebrity walk style. Even if you turn it off it turns back on a few minutes later.

I found out about it when I was idly browsing the Origin store. I got GF at once :D

I will probably buy it but am waiting until later in the week, hoping that the patch will be released and fix some of the annoying bugs, as @LaBlue0314 suggested above.
