9 key is not moving objects up instead it is extremely zooming out

I am in build mode with the move objects cheat turned on. I pressed the 9 key and instead of moving an object up, the camera extremely zooms out of the lot. Has this cheat changed? If yes, what is ...

I ask this as a "make sure it's plugged in" level of troubleshooting but - double check that you're on the Sims 3 camera. I can never get the 9 cheat to work using the sims 4 camera.
