A Deadly Day
So there I was -- well, no, there my sim was -- at the police station, basking in the glow in having cracked my latest case. Even the chief was being nicer to me. It was a good day. But wait! There in the crowded jail cell, one of the lifers had suddenly collapsed. It was that same prisoner I had saved yesterday from the Grim Reaper. Today was a different story, though, and my pleas fell on deaf ears. My triumphant crime fighting was quickly forgotten as everyone in the station was crying over this dead criminal.
My shift was over, yet I couldn't seem to leave and go home. Why wasn't I going home? Look! In that same crowded jail cell, another elderly criminal was passing over. (I swear, no police brutality involved.) I didn't even try to bother the Reaper over this one. I just wanted to get home and have some dinner. The criminal was dead and in an urn, why could I still not leave to return home?
Oh no! There, in the office, an elderly cop, and a close friend of mine, had now collapsed onto the floor. I cried and wailed for my friend and co-worker - to no avail. Three deaths in one place in one day. It's gonna take some time for me - I mean, my sim - to get over this huge tragedy.
