Hi,
New ideas of EP have been reported :
https://simscommunity.info/2025/02/19/sims-4-expansion-packs-survey-2025/
From the most to the least favorite, I would sort them like this :
Once again I want all of them. Honestly 3., 4., 5. 6. and 7. are all my third choice.
Of course don't expect any of these EP before at least 2028 or 2029.
I'd be interested in the houseboats because I loved them in Sims 3 and they would hopefully work better without the bugs created by a fully open world. I'm have no interest in other vehicles, or the pack ideas.
At this point I can't think of other realistic stuff I want now, I'd be much more interested in fantastical and historical content.
I took the survey and picked Community Careers and Car Life since you can only choose two options on the survey.
Here: From most liked to least liked would be:
I want all of this in the game withing the next 2 yrs....Don't make us choose...Just give it to us!
I liked the EP concepts that were outlined in the survey from last fall a lot more. (esp. Post-Apocalyptic Survivor & Gritty City). However, from the EP concepts outlined above, I would be the most interested in Ocean Exploration. I might be interested in the proposed Work on Wheels & Van Life concepts, but only if they are combined & not separated into two different packs. Finally, I think that the mechanic career & gas station should be removed from the Suburban Living concept & added to Car Life, & the three Community Careers should be combined with Suburban Living instead. I have no interest in a Reality TV EP. So, basically:
Some of these sound like packs that already exist
Neighborhood Secrets, Nosy sims = For Rent
Businesses,Lollipops, clientele etc. = Business and Hobbies pack coming soon
portable business = we already have many selling tables kinda things so eh..
Rescuing pets = You'd have to have pets like uh Cats and Dogs?
losing teeth = Growing Together
hairstyling = get famous,kinda
join club, arcade = Get Together
movies =movie hangout
share intimate moments under stars = lovestruck
lifeguard & diving for treasure = Island Living
and there is also some features listed that don't sound realistically possible/worth it to implement
like toddlers getting their heads stuck in stairs while we have multiple styles of configurable stairs with and without railings different lengths and wall heights 😅 and worst of all not every house even has a staircase
just sounds like terrible amount of problems for such small thing that occurs very rarely in game 😅
same thing about trees and pets since 1. base game doesn't have pets and 2. sims can only interact with harvestable plants and trees which may or may not exist on the lot and having specific tree just for pets to get stuck is ridiculous 😂
I saw the Truck Driver career, and I would love to have it in the game. It doesn't have to be part of Suburban Living. In fact, I would prefer an expansion pack that focuses on transportation jobs instead of Suburban Living.
MiataplayWhat do you think Suburban Living would include? I think we're getting Community Careers with Businesses and Hobbies. I like the sound of both for integration with my everyday gameplay. Van Life is also on my list.
My top 2 choices would be: Community Careers and Car Life.
We'll probably see bits and pieces of all of these over time but I am interested in seeing how cars/transportation plans a part in like 3 of the 7 themes. Makes it seem almost like a guarantee cars are coming to the Sims 4 eventually.
Well, in the survey it says that Suburban Living is all about everyday adventure and having greener more lush grass then you neighbor.
I think it also ties into the Business and Hobbies EP by adding new hobbies and possible careers like cosmetology, auto mechanic, truck driving, and homemaking.
It's like a lifestyles pack for for the hobby enthusiast from car detailing to landscaping, cooking, interior decorating, physical fitness. I would guess there would be carpooling. Suburban Living could also add more gameplay to the DLC we already have and more gameplay options with families.
I think it would blend nice with Eco Lifestyle too.
Huh... so that is how they are thinking of implementing certain things people have been asking for.
Aquariums, metal detectors, more crafting, more artifacts in one.
A new "Get to Work" pack with three major careers and they are active ones.
RC cars, another arcade game, driving school... doesn't say a new venue type for Cinemas, though.
A curious "vehicle customization", apparently a different way to add in hair styling..?
...Er... Reality TV? I guess this is to cater to those who want more challenges and chaos in the game?
A way to add in cosmetology, mechanics, driving and possibly cleaning as skills? Fixable vehicles and lawnmowers. It looks like certain jobs wanted are still only part time jobs for teens. The addition of robbers to the game?
Another curious "vehicle customization", new musical instruments, water activities.
Hrm... I guess the ones that don't make the top two will come along in some other way as a game or stuff pack. I have my interests, but I mainly care about how fleshed out certain themes should be given.
1. Community Careers definitely needs to be an EP with the careers being active ones.
2. Ocean Exploration should be an EP for the sake of houseboats and the possibility to actually go underwater. (No idea if that will actually happen with it.)
3. Suburban Living could be a GP. Personal desire for gameplay of fixing up vehicles.
4. Car Life sounds good for a GP. Looks like it also could bring back fixing up cars as gameplay.
5. Van Life... depending on how the new destinations is done, it could probably be an EP. More instruments.
6. Work on Wheels could be a GP.
7. Reality TV could be a GP.
