A Moment Of Panic, Followed By the Ah-Ha Moment
I decided to follow the advice to play a different save for now, until we can identify the bugs after the patch; I'm restarting my Ancestral game save, using S'rysly's Totally Blank Save. Yeah, it's ambitious, but the world truly is a blank canvas. It was a bit daunting at first, but since I found an older Tray on one of my flash drives and installed it into this potential save, I realized many of my older builds, some pertaining to this new save, were there, including two of my main families. That cut back on some of the work.
I was finally ready to put the families into the game. Sarah Jane was as bald as a billiard cue. and standing there in her underwear! I was like, oh no, don't tell me all of that additional 18th century cc I just downloaded isn't working. I exited the game and decided to check out my Cantrell save, ever so briefly, trying to remain calm. (Panicking inside, however.) The Cantrell save opened up and I was greeted by a message that my Mods had been disabled. That's when I vaguely recalled seeing the same message in the new save when I fired it up. Ah-ha! I went back into the other save and enabled the Mods. Then I went back into CAS and with a huge sigh of relief cc hair was available for my Sim.
And that's how my day went today.
